Who are Nightingale?
The Nightingale team consists of Daisy, Kate, Kate (yes, two Kates), Tilly & Pete and a selection of friends, enthusiasts and experts. The team has united together to create something very beautiful in the heart of Farncombe village. Having moved into the shop in July 2020 (during the height of the Covid pandemic) the team have worked tirelessly to create a stunning and contemporary shop selling the highest quality flowers as well as unique homewares.
Sharing a passion for the freshest flowers and inspirational design Nightingale has quickly established a reputation for excellence, delivering bespoke arrangements of flowers as unique as the person enjoying them.
Our Services
We are a contemporary florist shop serving our local community and beyond with our national delivery with everyday bunches, vases and jam jars.
We also provide bespoke floristry services for weddings, events and funerals as well as the provision of weekly or subscription flowers to corporate clients. We reached the final 5 of the Muddy Stilettos “best florist in Surrey” awards in our first year of trading and are incredibly proud to have won it in our third year, 2023.
Our team of expert florists have a huge range of experience and use their skill and artistic flair to break from tradition, providing bouquets of flowers where every petal has its place picked to perfectly compliment its neighbour.
We also supply the best quality homewares, including products from suppliers such as Garden Trading, Charlotte Doe & Konoc. Our own brand bespoke candles and reed diffusers are supplied by Bilo. We also stock Winterfold candles. Our cards are supplied by Est & Flower Brick.
Our ethos
Local
We pride ourselves on our local footprints and we love nothing more than getting to know our customers. We apply the same ethos with our suppliers and regularly work with local businesses. We often source our some of our flowers from less than five miles from the shop and also source our ceramic pots and trinket dishes from Charlotte Doe in Woking.
Sustainable
Since our opening we are proud to be able to say that we have used ZERO florist foam which is frankly terrible for the environment. We have also removed plastics from almost every part (we are still trying to think of a solution to water bubbles) of our floristry opting instead for recycled craft paper. Even the energy used in our shop is supplied from renewable sources such as wind as we continually try to lower our carbon footprint.
